This theatre was mentioned in the most recent Red Letter Media episode of re:View about the fantastic cult film Street Trash. Josh Robert Thompson co-hosts and talks about seeing the movie in Cleveland, but he says the theatre is called the York. He does say it was converted to a church, so I think he was thinking of the Yorktown. Find the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqJpoWE0jaY

Find photos at this link from when you saw Desert Hearts at the Fine Arts in 85/86. Also screening were Brazil and A Room With A View.
I added the photo of the parking structure from Running Scared (1986).
It’s now a Little Caesar’s Pizza.
It’s now a Little Caesar’s Pizza. There is still an optometrist in that one storefront.

I saw The Will Roger’s Follies at the Chicago Theater on Easter in the early ‘90s.
What a fascinating building. It’s too bad they removed the face masks from the facade.
I’m making plans to see Final Destination Bloodlines there on a future Sunday, so they are still going strong.
Very cool event!
This is right down the street from my office. I have been meaning to go in there and see if there are any remnants left from when it was a theater.
