This is really a shot from NYCSubways.org of the demolished Fulton St Elevated Train station at Fulton St and Gallatin Place in 1941. But you can see on the left side of the photo The Loews’s Metropolitan theater that is now the my church – The Brooklyn Tabernacle.
The 535 seat City Hall Theater at 31-32 Park Row near Broadway which is probably the one mistaken as a previous version of the Tribune Theater. It was open from 1916 to 1946. More importantly, to the right and up stairs is the bowling Alley and behind the trolley is the Horn & Hardart located at 17 Park Row.
BTW – here is a link to my FaceBook where I have posted what might be the only picture of this Apollo theater when it was called: Apollo Hall in 1900! View link
I and my friends used to cut through the construction area that became the Seward Park Houses to go to The Apollo theater in the late 50’s and early 60’s. We paid 35 cents to see three feature films. They make up part of a lot of precious memories of my childhood growing up on the Lower East Side of NYC.
Warren – I grew up on the Lower East Side and went to the City Hall Cinema known as The Tribune. I tried clicking on the links you provide but I only received an error. Are these still available on photobucket? How may I see them?
I wonder if this is the theater that was located in Grand St Manhattan….
As can be seen by the photo…the name of this theater is APOLLO ..not Apolo. .please make a correction. Thanks

You can see the vertical marquee “LOEWS APOLLO"on the left side of the photo taken from Delancy St.
In the second column – 4th listing down reads “Tribune” (under where the word ‘STARTING…’)
