This photo of the Coldwater Drive-in worksite was taken by my grandfather Albert S. (Al) Johnson in 1949. His Johnson Construction Company built several Michigan drive-ins between 1950 and 1953. Our family records don’t include this drive-in so it’s not clear whether this was a Johnson project. The back of the photo is inscribed “49 Coldwater.” This photo was found (in June 2022) in Albert S. Johnson Jr’s papers by his son Albert s. Johson III.
