Temperance Hall
How remarkably little has changed from August 1920 to February 2014 (photo by Burnley News and Petty Chartered Surveyors, respectively).
The only change seems to be the high, ground floor, windows (in 1920) have been bocked and made into less-high display cases. Perhaps a change in the later cinema days when windows were not features of cinemas.
I doubt there was a telecoms cabinet behind the people at Parker Lane’s corner with Elizabeth Street; nor a pay-and-display car park behind the 1920 hall!
