This aerial view of Colne shows the Hippodrome and the King’s Theatre, still-standing though with no promotional material on display. The fact that the King’s building is there would date this to pre-1944, which is rather reinforced by the absence of cars etc on Church Street, save for a single, steam-powered haulage vehicle.
