This 12 July 1946 is dated after the fire, gutting and conversion to other use in 1945 mentioned by the Theatres Trust. However, smoke/fire damage is still apparent on the façade at the right; and the roof-line is still that of a theatre, and not the uniform roof of the apartment conversion. “Theatre Royal” is still very prominent on the building. The stage is to the left of the building; the stage vent is visible.
