Around 2000-2002 the Triboro Youth Theatre (www.triboroyouththeatre.org) rented the theatre from Samia Corp., and performed broadway musicals. They removed the large dividing wall (that was created to have more than one movie screen) that brought back the original seating capacity on the lower level, removed the movie screens and drywall covering up the original vaudeville stage, and added a 20 foot by 40 foot (approx.) stage extension. They performed musicals such as South Pacific and even had professional flying equipment to perform Peter Pan. They packed the house, but now perform at Thacher Elementary School’s theatre in Attleboro.
