I inadvertently removed the Google Earth image that was posted and apologize profusely. It showed the location where the theater stood prior to being demolished. However, it focused on the wrong location.
This is an artist’s rendition of the Kaye Theater before it was remodeled in 1951. When I saw it in 1959 the front has been remodeled, probably when the interior was remodeled in 1951.
The Kaye Theater was remodeled in 1951 as per the photograph above. I remember it in 1959 when by then it was closed and looked abandoned. I have searched high and low for an image of the exterior front with no luck.
This is where the Kaye stood before it was demolished. I would think it was where the parking lot is now.
