I pass this local Art Deco diamond every time I visit family in Kentucky. Clearly it’s been repurposed but sometimes the interior can remain intact. These neighborhoods are slowly attracting young professionals. Is there any news regarding the status of the interior and it’s potent to return to showing films?
Just left the screening of Barry Lyndon at intermission. For such a beautiful, generous space to have such an ill mannered, unprepared, inconsiderate staff is heartbreaking. A multi million dollar renovation with a lousy team to run it makes for a soulless evening. Very sad, I so wanted to experience a more magical night there. Instead I left halfway through the evening, which started an hour late due to the woeful mismanagement of the venue. If a film in a grand movie palace is what you’re looking for, you’re better off at the Jersey Loew’s, which is infinitely friendlier. They do it right in Jersey.
