The Gae Foster troupe replaced the original Roxyettes who by 1936 had moved to Radio City and were renamed the Rockettes where they remain today. The Gae Foster Roxyettes were more athletic then their precision dancing predecessors, often called upon to performing on bicycles and large beach balls.
