Free postcards were available in the lobby of the Orpheum when “This Is Cinerama” played at the Orpheum in 1952. Note reserved seat ticket prices ranged from $1.20 (matinee, balcony) to $2.65 (main floor, evening). Prices appear to have been recently reduced slightly, I suspect because of the elimination of excise tax on movie tickets, which was lobbied for big time by theatre operators. Prices were still at a premium for that era where you still could see a first run movie on Market Street for under $1.00. Cinerama was of course a special attraction which warranted higher ticket prices and a reserved seat policy.
