I walked past today. The building immediately south of the theater, the one with the sign saying, “Name Brand Appliances,” has been completely removed. The theater itself has no windows left, and there were workers inside dismantling everything. I was across the street, so I couldn’t ask, but I imagine the theater will be gone within the month. Sad day.
A demolition permit was granted this week for this block of N High Street. It appears the Clinton will be torn down. The current owner cannot afford to fix it, nor can he afford the daily fines of $50 to $250.
