No there is no wall down the middle of the theatre. The main auditorium is intact – as it was in 1939. The second floor screening room was reopened – used to be known as the Nostalgia Cinema – it now once again plays films. 30 theatre seats(same seats as the main theatre) with film and digital projection and full Digital Dolby sound.
Yes it will re-open! The upstairs auditorium is already complete. We are installing a new HVAC system and this has taken more time. The old furnace was unusable.
The signage will be similar to the original minus the ODEON. The Humber will look and feel like a Rank Odeon cinema.
Hopefully the signage will be up soon before Christmas.
We were not ready for Harry Potter – trying to open for Christmas or early January 2011. Remodeled lobby – new seats and projection equipment and new signage out front.

Humber Cinema opens Friday April 29th – with Fast Five – all first run all big screen premiere pictures!

We are pushing for late spring – lots of big movies coming out in May and June.
