Revisiting the past out of curiosity. The lovely Hoyts Cinema Goulburn was once managed by my father David Burke in the 1960’s, my mother at one time made the heavy velvet red curtains for the screen on her Singer sewing machine at home. Many wonderful memories remain of countless sessions watching the same movies more than once, today I still remain an absolute ‘movie buff’! The Hoyts was a lovely theatre with a great atmosphere, and comfortable and attractive lounge upstairs. How sad to read these beautiful buildings have been demolished to house buildings which will never be remembered. Have enjoyed looking at the photos.
