Hi Bobby, good to hear there is activity again with this, I would be more than happy to assist in any manner to get some momentum going again, I checked the petition and it says its closed now for signing, if you communicate with Ann Younger, please let her know, and plz keep me posted, thanks!
The official “ AvonParkTheatre.com” website is now up, with a temporary “Under Construction” front Page, Nice :–) P.S> If we setup a Non-Profit Account #, then we can utilize PayPal (electronic payments like VISA , etc.)so people can make donations with automatic deposit capabilities to our cause. MJM
I do actually live in Avon, and it caught my eye recently, I thought what a precious piece of history to save, if possible, for a small village like ours. I am a big fan of movies. I did some digging around town, and found out that it appears the owner of the theatre is still the antique car gentleman. I peeked in the windows and it looks a bit dusty and untouched. Someone told me they heard the seats have been removed from the theatre but didn’t know what happened to them, or where they might be. If I hear anything else I will update you. I would love to head up a non-profit movement to restore it to original condition. take care, MJM
Thats great news, please keep me posted, and let me know if I can assist in any way!
