  • <p>The old marquee of the Adelphi Theatre being removed in 1986.  It was replaced with  the North Shore Cinema marquee.  The theatre was called the Adelphi again in 1991, but the North Shore marquee stayed up.  The owner covered up the north and south end of the marquees with a sign that read “Adelphi Theatre”.</p>
