The May 3, 1951 edition of the Denver Post included this uncredited photo of the erection of the Lake Shore’s tower. Not my copyright, of course, and possibly in the public domain. The original caption:
Four huge cranes equipped with 80-foot beams this week hoisted the screen for the new 1,000-car Lakeshore drive-in theater into place. The screen, assembled on the ground, it as tall as a six- or seven-story building when in position. The new theater is located on Sheridan boulevard just off West Seventeenth avenue. Opening date for the Lakeshore has not been announced.
