I tried pursuing this type of idea a few months ago with a repo’d theatre in michigan. was trying to lease it but the bank just sold it. I have lots of ideas to make this work but I want to go in woth someone who can get the site. I know I can make it work. I dont care what part of the country it is. If you or anyone else is interested in opening a classic theatre type theatre call or email me.
I have 19 yrs in the business as a manager, projectonist, etc.
this is the theatre I started my usher life at. richard komer sold it to rite aid. Komer owned the theatre and the shops that were in front of the theatre. He used to rent them out. there was a resale shop and a baseball card place there at one time. Rite aid opened up out the back of the 851 seat theatre. the box office, concession area and the doors to the theatre were preserved and can been seen along with 2 seats from the theatre when you walk by the front.
I dont have a 35 projector anymore but I do have a old 35 mm rewind table. it is cast iron and goes with a 35mm projector. I am in michigan. my email is will sell fairly reasonable price.

shame.. would make great 2nd run theatre but water damage and lack of care have this building in shape where whoever buys it will need to demolish it.
