From the Washington Post the last showing was Gremlins on Sun 9/16/84. The following day the Lee Highway entry read “Closed for the winter - THANK YOU” and it came to an end paving the way for the awesome Multiplex.
I worked for NTI Tysons Center 4 for 2 years in the 80’s. The original Tyson’s Twin closed in December ‘79 and after remodeling reopened as Tysons Center 4 in Oct '80. I recall that TC4 screens 1 and 2 had 600 seats each; screens 3 and 4 had 350 each.
