Hi Ken, this is off topic but I want to let you know that I have posted photos of the Colindale classic and Moulin classic I took during 1977-78 when I was on a working holiday from Australia. I wrote a short story about my work there. Would you like to read it?
I worked there as a projectionist not long after it opened in 1977. Cinema 1 used Cinemacannica and cinema 2 and 3 used Kalee 21 projectors. Light source was Zenon bulb for all cinemas.
All cinemas were automated using metal strip on the film to operate a uniselector to step to the next programmed function (forget the name of the system).
As of June 1978, the main auditorium ran mainstream films. The tattler club ran two R rated films every Tuesday and Thursday with a live striptease on stage between each film. On Saturday night from 12-3am Bollywood films were screened.
Hi, I worked at the Classics Moulin, Colindale, and Ramsgate as a projectionist in 1977-78. I was on a working holiday from Australia and obtained work with Classic. I have written a short story about my experiences while working for classic cinemas. I have some photos taken in the bio-boxes of the three cinemas, and some of the exteriors.
The taken date 1970 is incorrect. This photo was taken May or June 1978. It was taken with a Minolta SRT303.

I’m surprised to hear that the Tattler films were stopped in July 78, which is the month when I stopped working there.
For a lark I asked one of the employees to take my photo while I sat on the roof with my legs dangling over.
I don’t know what Colindale is like today, but in 1978 it was very peaceful and a good place to work and live.
