My grandmother took me to see Cleopatra here in the summer of 1963. I’m not sure which amazed me the most: the movie or the incredibly beautiful theater. I remember that the sound system was fantastic.
Wow… thanks Tinseltoes. Those photos brought back a lot om memories. I saw a lot of films there. I remember that the auditorium was white and stark: 1960s modern!
The marquis has been restored! All are welcome to attend the FREE relighting on Friday, October 5th at 7:00 pm. After the relighting the doors will open for tour for a $10 or more donation.
