Ray was Mr.Grace,s close friend, and also assistant Mgr. The pink poodle ,i believe was Mr.Grace,s dog.
Ray owned a Pink Caddilac Convertible, and also raised show dogs.
He would sometimes park in front of Embassy Theatre,with several wolfhounds,sitting in rear seat.Dont remember the old matron with the gray hair. Was probobly to busy making out,That would be the upstairs balcony lol What was your sisters name? Where did you guys live. I lived on Cleveland St. between Fulton and Atlantic.
My wife lived acroos from Embassy Theatre on corner of Richmond st.

Yes , not only do my wife and i remember Henny bill,and his wife Anna. But we were all together this past summer at my Bo-in law house. You may also know him Tommy McAdam from Fulton and Richmond sts. We also got together for the Blessed Sacrament Reunion this past October. And are planning to do the E.N.Y. Reunion this coming June. No to your question did i attend Berriman. Our family originally came from Glenmore Ave. between Elton St. and Linwood St.In the late 40,s we moved to Cleveland St. between Atlantic Ave.and Fulton St.

Stayed in Bklyn until married. Then moved to L.I. Been here ever since. Actually quite a few people i know are intewrested in going to the Reunion next year.

Anyone remember when the Kinema Theatre was picketed for the showing of “ The Outlaw” staring Jane Russell . The Nuns and Priests from St.Rita,s formed a picket line outside of the Theatre. This was back in the forties i believe. Us kids were scarred to go in.

However i was there only 5-6 months.Had big dissagreement with ,powers to be and was asked to leave LOL Believe the arch nemisis was one Harold Eisner principal at the time. So i transferred all my talents to E.N.Y.Vocational high which was located just south of Atlantic Ave and South Conduit bypass. also sandwiched in by Wells st. and Fountain Ave. On corner of Atlantic was the Hammer Beverage factory, and across the st.was the Bklyn water works bldgs. with the hugh smoke stack. Do you remember any of that??
The yrs. 1954 thru 1972 I worked for a Co.on the corner of Fulton and Logan. My wife lived on corner of Fulton and Richmond. She went to Blessed Sacrament.

At 72 and feeling it at times,these sites bring us right back to the 50,s,60,s etc. And feeling like we are in our teens again. Boy oh boy remember, punch ball, stickball, ring-a-levio, Johnny on the pony, kick the can. What am i missing ??
