I loved reading Nacemi’s memories. I went to the Orpheum a lot while growing up in Portland, on through college. Ironically, they tore it down the year I moved away. I remember the elegant Rex Hopkins very well, always in suit and tie, hair slicked back. The Orpheum ran a lot of first run sci-fi and horror back in the day, especially all of the William Castle product. It was a great theatre and Nacemi brings back great memories. I would have loved to have had that job.

I wonder if someone lives where the window is. If so, the neon provides a classic film noir image from inside.
