The Silver Star drive in was only open in the summer months. The indoor theatres in Wallace (The Wilma) and in Kellogg (The Rena) were managed by a husband/wife team. During the summer, the indoor theatres were closed and the drive in opened managed by the same husband/wife team. At the end of each summer, the drive in closed and the indoor theatres reopened. One could see the movie on the outdoor theatre screen while driving on nearby Highway 10 (later, Interstate 90).
amendment: The theater in Kellogg was named The Rena. It was owned by the same company that had the Wilma in Coeur d' Alene, Wallace and Missoula.
