Hello. I am Robert Solomon, and I am so happy to find a page on your website for the Findlay Drive-In Theater to which I have a strong connection. The theater was owned and operated by KS&D Theaters the shareholders of which were Julius Knight (being my maternal uncle and the “K”), Herbert Solomon (being my father and the “S”) and Harry Knight (being my maternal grandfather and the “D” for Dad). Jerry Knight (being another maternal uncle of mine) also was in the theater business but had no relationship with the Drive-In Theater. Julius and Harry Knight are deceased, and Herbert survives, soon to celebrate his 95th birthday.
I, as well as my Dad, have many memories of the Theater, and I would be happy to take an oral history from Herb and post our recollections of the theater business during the 1950’s and 60’s if there would be any interest.
I would ask that you correct the information on your website to reflect that the Theater was owned and operated by Harry Knight, Julius Knight and Herbert Solomon.
