I spent many weekends here, both during the summers I spent with my aunt June, and also after I moved there in ‘87. The barber shop in one pic is KEEL’s barber shop. Next to it was a skateboard shop. On the other side, is Elliot’s music.

The milan became a Dollar General Store, and in the past years, has shut down. In fact, much of Milan’s main street, has become a ghost town, due to everyone moving their business closer to Jackson.

I remember taking my boys to see a few movies there, when they were little. I knew plenty of folks who worked there. Last first time running movies I seen were Gone in 60 seconds, and the fast and the Furious. Seen the ring there, when they started doing second runs. The night of the fast and the furious opened, a group of us car enthusiasts met up, and it was awesome. Muscle cars, euros, lowriders, all lined up. It was a great theatre, but I think Carmike was on a buying spree. Sad that this place, and the Martin got closed down.

You guys are correct. In the early 90’s, it had become a $1 theatre. I met my ex wife here, had many dates in highschool with her there. For a a time, they toyed getting it back up and running, but finally, it was sold to Western Kentucky University. A lot of us Warren Central folks would hang out there to hook up with girls.

This place is classic. When I first moved to Bowling Green from Chicago in 1992, I spent my first New year with my ex-wife here, as the town was doing “First Night” I got to see Jeff Foxworthy, and talk to him after. If I can get some pics of the inside, I’ll post them.

I remember my brother taking me to see E.T. And Windwalker there. I remember I was maybe 7 at the time. I remember walking out, and seeing some of the Lawndale GL hanging out front. Just smoking waiting on someone. I seen a few movies there, before leaving the area in 1987

I remember moldenhauser, he was my family dentist when I was little. I remember the movie with Tom Selleck & Dom Amichi being filmed by the old shoe store there.
I remember the public library. I got my first library card there in 2nd grade when I went to Brian Piccolo.

I grew up in the neighborhood in the 80’s. Hanging out at Donald Duks, where my brother Tommy worked, and Ferndell’s and Beer City, where my sister April worked. The Tiffins last movies were Breakin 2 and and MIA2, they shut it down, January 5,1986. I remember Vito’s and Guy’s. Football Pizzas, and 2 litres of RC. I remember the guy who sold papers, and lived in the news shack. Its sad to know, most of my childhood is gone. Great memories. And yes, Tiffin had burgundy velvet seats and drapes, tied with Gold Rope. Popcorn and real Cherry Coke!
Btw Sab, I remember the bubbles well, and how awesome it smelt walking past there in the summer
