You are mistaken about the location of this theater. It was located on the even numbered side of South Ave., across the street from the gas station. Back in the 50’s the gas station was a drug store. I used to patronize both of these businesses. The Bijou was later converted to “Mountain Bakery”, then became a hardware store, then became what I believe is now “S & S Auto Supply and the business just east of the auto supply. It’s a two-tenant building. It could have also been located in the empty lot just west of the auto supply.
