Here we can see the VERY ornate exterior of the Palace’s auditorium sidewall. Immediately adjacent to it (to the right) is the plain brick exterior of the similarly sized State Theatre and (just visible) beyond is the white modern State stagehouse. One unfamiliar with Playhouse square may wonder at the sight of the State auditorium – with no entrance! Of course, the state lobby runs from the OTHER side of the auditorium all the way around the Palace and out onto Euclid street (the State lobby is over 300 feet long!) Photo taken 2009
