I just read the book EMILLEE KART and the SEVEN SAVING SIGNS thanks to all that reccommended it I hear its being made into a play? From one of the posts its debuting in a struggling Lamb theatre? anywho the book WAS better than Narnia and in par with Harry Potter.

Emillee Kart and the Seven Saving Signs was and awsome awsome book that I hear is going to theatre. Where and when? A play like this can save a theatre? Some theatres just need a hit, the book was better that Narnia and in par with Harry Potter, good call for all that reccommended it!!

The Standard broadways new up-town playhouse at 90th street phone riverside 42 (direction John Cort) ,the Standard will play broadway successes only, and each for one week, but at a popular prices, matinees tuesday, thursday and saturday. My great grand father named this theatre after his first The Standard in Seattle washington (john Cort),,,, around 1916??
I just came back from the theatre, there is no more 32 east main, it skips from 30 -34-36 the building there is definatly the theatre with a fresh stucco facade and broken down into three stores one a bicycle shop ,another a nail saloon,but if you stand on the court house steps you can see that it was a theatre there at one time.There is even a dance studio in the back. There is very little remnence of the theatre, all gutted out and sub -sub divided- areal shame, by the way im Chris Cort. -great grand son.

Your Great grandfather built the Cort Theatre on 48th street for my grand father. “Im currently looking for information on him and his many theatres and productions. Do you have any memoribilia about this partnership,stories. Ill ask my father also John Cort if he has any stories> cheers Chris Cort
