I have just talked to the Owners of the Lawford Theatre in Havana and they gave me some news that I felt should be passed on to anyone interested in purchasing this Theatre.
They have reduced the asking price to $76,900. AND have asked me to advertise that they are willing to look at offers. They are just not wanting to be in the Theatre business (since they have other businesses that were already up and running) and they want to keep the Theatre open to help the sale of the Theatre and to show support for the community.
They have also rented the small office connected to the Theatre as a Barber Shop for $150 a month and added a small bathroom at the bottom of the steps for the shop. It now brings in a little extra income.

The Theatre is also for sale, but should be much more marketable while it is continued to be open. The Owner purchased equipment from the former Lessor so it should be a ‘turn key’ operation. I have good news on the ‘Lawford Front’. I have the STILL OPEN Lawford Theatre listed for sale now. The Lawford Theatre is currently leased to ‘LawfordTheatre’ for the building and most equipment. The current tenant owns some equipment. I have heard from the owner that he and his staff are doing an excellent job.

Also, does anyone have any memories or history about the Theatre? I would love to see this site used for its purpose instead of all the upsetting news. Since I have not been able to post pictures to this site, I will try to get them on a site and let you know. I’ll keep you posted.
