This was the long entrance road that led from the main street Soquel Ave to the boxoffice area. Now used for hospital parking, Cars would line up before the place opened. The great Skyview neon marquee outfront was also taken out soon after the hospital took down the two screens. Too bad someone did not save the marquee like they did the ‘Entrance’ sign that is now lit up at the Rio Theatre in Santa Cruz. I have in my movie collection a few of the Encina and StarView DI movie calendar sheets they gave out each month in the 50’s and 60’s.
