When I worked in he mid 1960’s while in high school at Oakland’s Paramount Theatre as loge/ticket boy one of the two old IA projectionist guys in the booth (Elmer) gave me this install book for ‘CinemaScope’ by 20th Century Fox. I kept It all these years. When I saw ‘CinemaScope’ for the first time at the Paramount they opened the curtains to a blue lit wide semi curved Magic Mirror CinemaScope screen and announced ‘Welcome to Fox West Coast Theatres first East Bay showing of CinemaScope and 4 track magnetic stereo surround sound, then they closed the giant curtains and re opened on the movie. It made a great impression on me as a young kid and I can remeber to this day the seats we sat in.
