I remember going there for Genevieve, Doctor in the House, and South Pacific and … The Duke Wore Jeans (Tommy Steele). The Regal was a rather forbidding old building, but a great shame it has gone. Not far away was the ‘County’, regarded as something of a fleapit, but I guess there was probably not much difference!
