Steven called the Medallion his “good-luck charm.”
Tales of a sweaty palmed, full-of-Valium, Steven Spielberg pacing the back row, terrified that his movie starring a rubber shark wouldn’t play. The Alex Kitner shot settled his nerves: A man ran out of the theater, vomited in the lobby, then returned to his seat. “That’s when I knew we had a hit,” he said. Classic in the trenches film war stories. Love it.
👏👍 Good to see Movie Theaters around Jersey still. Although not projected 35mm or 70mm anymore since the conversion to digital, we still have something from our childhood pastime to enjoy young and old. And even though I don’t go much as I’d like to nowadays, it’s good to see they are still here. I Love Movies! #KeepFilmAlive #KeepMovieTheatersAlive
My name is Thomas Luca. My Uncle Ned Luca was given this Theater by his Father-in-Law Mr. Fiorovanti in the late ‘40s as a wedding gift who was previously proprietor.
Amazing. To think Steven used to go here and little did he know it was building inspiration tucked away for years to come. History in the making. I heard him talking about it while watching the Special Features on the picture FORBIDDEN PLANET. Wow how time flies.

Oh yeah. 👍 Not too far from me. Good to see large Studios still in New Jersey.
