As of the date I am posting this comment, House 9 appears to be out of service. I am unsure as to why, but ever since the Laser upgrades last year, it was the only house that was still showing as “Digital.” And it’s also the only house in the complex that has seating split into three sections (similar to some of La Jolla 12’s houses). It’s definitely possible they could turn this into PRIME like the Marlton 8 in New Jersey had done, as that location has sloped seating, just like Chula Vista 10.
Correction: AMC reopened the UTC 14 on February 10, 2022 (not 2021).
Starting in the Spring of 2024, the location would undergo an extensive renovation that included a complete redesign of the concessions counter (no cash registers, a pickup window and the addition of Coca-Cola Freestyle and ICEE machines), a new kiosk area, new carpeting in the hallways, and new auditorium signage.
All houses were be re-seated with heated recliners with standard houses upgraded to new JBL audio systems. House #4 was converted to become Dolby Cinema. All screens besides #7 are a flat (1.85:1) aspect ratio, and have working top and bottom masking (except Dolby).
In the later half of 2025, new Barco laser projectors would replace all of the remaining digital projectors. House #7 was rebranded as PRIME due to it already having Dolby Atmos sound, as it was formerly Arclight’s “Ultra-wide” (2.39:1 scope) screen.

I went to see “Relay” in this house in August 2025. Capacity has been reduced with the new recliner seating.
