According to old maps, the site was on the southeast corner of 58th and Avenue Q. Part of the Country Inn and Suites its on the old site. The field just west of it seems to be the rest of that site.
According to old maps, the site is located at the southwest corner of Slide and Marsha Sharp. The site is basically a triangle shape where the screen and the front of the drive in kinda where CVS is at and the back of the site is demarcated by city bank drive.
If you go by there now, all that’s left is the lower half of the facade. The side windows have been stuccoed over, planters added where the entry doors were, the box office removed and a steel door added. There’s a courtyard behind it.
I remember watching a couple of movies at the Citrus in the mid to late 80s including Roger Rabbit, Honey I shrunk the kids, the Goonies, and Batman. By then the theater was pretty beat up. I remember vaguely in the theater some missing ceiling tiles and a few that hung precariously from the ceiling. The balcony was always closed. Yes, I remember the movie poster with Groundhog Day. It was in the “Coming Soon” marquee. That day never came.

October 2010 the old Showplace 6 catches on fire. They rebuilt it as part of the Trinity School complex. The elementary school I believe.
The site was turned into a playa lake when the Marsha Sharp Freeway was built.

I remember there was a building here in the mid to late 80s that had a box office and at one point the box office was the window to a snow cone stand.
