I never knew about this until now. Unlike the theaters that he built from scratch, records about the work he did here did not survive in my family’s archives. Thank you everyone for bringing out this information.
The neighboring housing project was also designed and engineered by William I. Hohauser. It was one of the first large public housing projects in the country and was completed in 1939.
I would like to add a photo since I have discovered some material of my grandfather’s theater work but unfortunately the “Add A Photo” function has been off line for over a year.
