Briefly talked to the manger, he wasn’t sure which l auditoriums if any are 4K or 2K. I found this article in 2016 that indicates at least theater 6 would be 4K. I wounded if theater 7 would also be 4k?
Saw black panther in theater 7 and it sounded like Atmos was working. However the picture quality was awful almost looked like color banding. Maybe it’s due to the old 2k projector? Theater 6 looked great though I feel like AMC Tyson’s 16 regular theater’s projectors have better contrast, possibly owning
to them being the Sony vs Arclight’s Christie.
Thanks for the info! Does anybody know if at some point they updated the Dolby Projector, maybe when they changed the lighting? I have heard online that some older Dolby Cinema had old projectors, that could not achieve 1 million:1 contrast ratio. Looks like around 2017 Dolby may have been upgrading them to Christie Eclipse E3LH. Thoughts?
