Still no sign of this theatre re-opening, the advertising boards which obscured the entrance were removed a few years ago, but have now returned, advertising the nearby Frenchgate Shopping Centre, they appear to own it but refuse to engage in talks with anyone about it, and it would seem they are just biding their time until it becomes beyond repair and can be demolished.
The big F on the facade was due to its use as a food warehouse by the Doncaster supermarket Chain Fairway, the chain was sold and became Gateway in the 1980’s.

I Recently contacted the developer (February 2018) that owns the ABC/Cannon, I asked them of their plans, I received no reply.
The Windsor had a sister Cinema in the Doncaster Area, the Astra on Beckett Road, Wheatley.

The whole site included the shopping arcade that led to the cinema entrance is now an NCP Car Park
It was demolished for a new Casino development, as of July 2016, it has still not been redeveloped and is currently a car park.
