Follow up to my previous comment: They are removing the 3D filters whenever a house is dedicated to a 2D movie. However, when a house is shared between a 3D and 2D movie (or when a single movie, like JOHN CARTER, has both 3D and 2D shows in the same house), they are still leaving the filters in place. Maddening.
This theater is now all-digital projection. The projection is quite poor in auditorium 2, however, because of the angle of the room and the configuration of the projector — the picture is so askew it’s practically diagonal. Hopefully that can be fixed. Other auditoriums look good.
Projection here is now all digital. They had a problem for a while with their 3D-capable houses always having the 3D lens and filters in place regardless of whether it was 2D or 3D content showing; apparently Regal has now issued a company-wide decree that this is not to be done, so hopefully it’ll be better now. The 2D-only houses look great.
