The theatre was actually located on the corner of Wyckoff Ave and Stockholm Street, not Dekalb Ave. My family ran Italian films there on Sundays for 15 years during the 70’s and early 1980’s. Seating was 440, probably reduced from the original 556.
Whie operating as the Casa Italiana, all the seats were not removed. A dance floor was constructed, but seats to the front of the theatre remained. Italian language films were shown there every Sunday for close to 20 years.
The Cameo was the Squire in the 1950’s.
