Alhambra Picture Theatre

A 1979 street view of the building that was the Ruskin Hall. Here it is the former Marshall Branch Library and has been standing derelict for about 9 years.

The rear of the Alhambra stage block abutted the Ruskin Hall on the right, which means that the stub of wall with blocked doorway is a remnant of the already-demolished Alhambra. Another photo shows that there was a filling station on the Alhambra site (i.e. to the right) in the 1970s/80s, which explains the kerb detail (bottom right) showing alterations for vehicular access.

The Alhambra site had become a car wash, not a filling station.

It was a filling station first, later changing to a car wash.
