Auditorium, Colorado Theatre, Denver, 1922
The auditorium of the Tabor Grand Opera House was completely rebuilt to designs by architects Fisher & Fisher in 1921-1922. Originally, the house featured a small section of about 250 seats on the orchestra floor. Behind that was a slightly raised stadium-style circle nine rows deep. Above the circle rose two balconies supported on columns. On each side at the front of the house were pairs of boxes on three levels, for a total of twelve boxes. The new configuration as seen in this photo featured a much larger, sloped orchestra floor and a single modern, cantilevered balcony.
