The Capri with its 700 seats and 50 foot wide screen and auditorium equipped with six-track audio was ready to go on Dec. 3, 1964 with Elvis' “Roustabout.” Operating the theater was long-time veteran George E. “Buster” Schnibben who had run the O'Dowd renamed Carolina, Circle, and Colonial.
