This view shows some of the ornamental plaster and painting behind the 1930s proscenium. Visible is an original exit door, blocked by fire brick and partially covered by the stage added when the proscenium was moved out into the auditorium. This is no longer a public area, and I was granted access only to record the decorations during recent construction.
