This is the mural panel to the left of where the original screen was mounted. The area which housed the screen can be seen partly to the right. Some of the ornament had been shaved off the walls in spots–likely in the 1930s, but no more-so than the ornamental frame which must have once surrounded the screen. More painted “bubbles” are visible. This is no longer a public area, and I was granted access only to record the decorations during recent construction.
