Not the Bonham but the Majestic a block away. Over at 516 D Street in Fairbury is the Universal-led Majestic Theatre where manager T.J. Kempkes goes with a Jackie Coogan and Charlie Chaplin dress-up contest for “The Kid” playing there in 1921. He draws a great crowd to his parade selling out nine straight shows at six cents per kid.
