What an awesome historical picture of the Broadway Theatre. I was born in 1950 and grew up going to this theatre as I too attended J.R. Harris Elementary, Deady Jr. High and Milby H.S. These were the days of simple living, no fears or scares of people trying to hurt you. Broadway Theater was my delight of fun and enjoyment. Demolished for no reason at all because the freeway that was suppose to go thru this area never happened. Very sad indeed. I loved this theatre and my memories of it. I was just telling my 41 yr. old about my memories of this theatre. I wish there would be theatres with these same traditions that the Broadway Theatre had.
