The circle is now closed off from the auditorium by a ceiling running from the edge of the circle upwards to the top of the proscenium. While this compromises the proprtions of the hall, the work and general decor has been carried out to a very high standard. The stairway is used only by staff, the circle foyer now being used as a staff area. The wood pannelling remains intact.
