I was SO fortunate to be able to enjoy this theatre in 1981, Many 70MM engagements, a re release of The Rose and Divine Madness in 70MM, was a highlight. The third Omen movie, Southern Comfort also ran in 70. Currently this is a very SAD theatre, made SMALL with a very SMALL screen, nothing near what it was. Such a disappointment!
The new tiny flat not curved screen at the UA Egyptian Theatre Hollywood is so bad and no curtains or color lights. How sad. Now all the courtyard fountains are gone except one that does not work.

And we now pay extra to get 2/3 of this screen in our local theaters and to add “salt to the womb” todays projectors can’t fill this screen
The 90' wide screen at Salt lake City’s beautiful Villa Theatre was nothing less than AWESOME. To see “The Lord of the Rings” there was so memorable.
I wish the American Cinematheque had kept this sucker!
